Eastside Hill Neighborhood in Eau Claire, WI
Eastside Hill is a centrally-located community with plenty of perks for homebuyers looking for convenient things to do on any given day, including recreation. The west side of the neighborhood is only about a 15-minute walk to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus and also borders downtown Eau Claire and all of its attractions.
The historic Forest Hill Cemetery and its picturesque stone chapel is also located right in the neighborhood. A steep ridge with wooded walking trails encircles the south end of the cemetery. This ridge also contains the "7 Bumps" sledding hill popular among East Hill residents in the winter months.
Boyd and Archery Parks are two of the best parks in the East Hill neighborhood. Archery Park is about a mile upriver from Boyd Park and has one of the most challenging and scenic walking trails in the city. The Archery Park hiking trail winds up and over the bluffs found along the Eau Claire River, and the trail is narrow and very steep in places. Both parks are connected via the trail and a new prairie restoration project.
