What Type of Seller Are You?
Discount Realty Works offers a wide range of services depending on what our clients want. Sometimes it's hard for people to decide how much involvement they want us to have. If you are having trouble deciding which listing package to use, this might be a helpful place to start.
After meeting hundreds of sellers, we have noticed that many of our sellers share similar values and tend to have certain things in common. We are not suggesting that everyone needs to fall into one of these three categories...these are just general trends.
Type 1: The Do-It-Yourselfer (Green Light!)
- #1 goal: Sell house with lowest possible transaction fees (such as real estate commissions)

- Not intimidated by paperwork needed to complete the sale
- Handles offers, counteroffers, addenda, notices, etc.
- May have an attorney lined up to help
- Is an experienced home seller
- Wants to have their own phone number on the yard sign
- Is willing to show the property to unrepresented buyers
- Is willing to talk with any real estate agent who may bring a buyer
- Uses email and/or text messaging daily (if not continuously...)
If this sounds like you, then choose a Flat-Fee MLS listing!
Type 2: DIY With Some Help (Yellow Light!)
- Wants to sell home for lowest possible fees, but
- Having a professional overseeing the transaction is equally as important to them.

- Is willing to show the property to unrepresented buyers, but
- Understands the value of having a professional on your side.
- Does not want to draft counteroffers, notices, amendments, etc.
- Wants to have their own phone number on the yard sign
- Uses email and/or text messaging daily

Type 3: I'm Too Busy to Deal With This (Red Light!)
- #1 Goal: Please make this as painless as possible!

- Secondary goal: Save me some money in the process!
- Does not want to deal with paperwork...just show me where to sign.
- Does not have time or desire to show house to potential buyers
- Does not want their own phone number on the yard sign
