Shawtown is a historic area, located about 2 miles downstream from central Eau Claire, along the Chippewa River. In 1930, the city of Eau Claire annexed Shawtown, which is now called the Mt Washington Neighborhood. Homes in Eau Claire's Mt Washington neighborhood are very diverse. You can find anything from an 800-sqft ranch to a sprawling contemporary designs overlooking the entire valley. The Mt. Washington Neighborhood is also unique because it has its very own ski jump!
