5 Simple Staging Tips
Staging articles abound on the internet. Many sellers read up and do their own staging. Some Realtors provide staging as a service, and now sellers can even have a staging professional help them prepare their home for sale. Most of the staging advice and articles seem to center on these main themes:
• Remove clutter from horizontal surfaces such as countertops, tables, and shelves.
• Think minimal – minimal items on shelves, minimal pictures in hallways, minimal things on horizontal surfaces.
• Remove or relocate furniture to make spaces appear bigger.
• Try to make each room a unique and cohesive space with a single focal point.
• Do not block windows with lamps or other items.
