Third Ward Neighborhood Guide
The Third Ward is very close to Putnam Park, a 105-acre state wildlife preserve located in the heart of the city. Because of its natural beauty and its proximity to the university, the Third Ward is a very desirable neighborhood, with the highest concentration of historic homes of any neighborhood in the city. Nineteenth-century lumber magnates seemed to favor the neighborhood, and many of their homes remain intact or have been restored. However, a wide array of homes is offered in Eau Claire's Third Ward, from 3-story, 4000+ square foot mansions to 2-bedroom bungalows. There have even been several new homes built recently. If you are interested in historic homes in a neighborhood that is centrally located to UW-EC and downtown, check out these Third Ward homes!
